Right now, many families in our community are facing the harsh realities of rising living costs and low incomes. School holidays — a time that should be full of fun and connection — can become especially difficult.
The cost of activities, food, and keeping children engaged adds extra pressure, and for families already experiencing poverty, the challenges only intensify. That’s where Fun Free Fridays comes in.
Fun Free Fridays is a school holiday project designed especially for local families like yours!
We’re running 8–10 free activity sessions during the school holidays – and everyone’s welcome! Whether your child loves to create, play, learn or explore, there’s something for every age and ability.
Each session is completely free to attend and includes:
✅ Fun, creative, and inclusive activities for children
✅ Free healthy snacks or light lunches for kids
✅ A safe, relaxed space for families to enjoy time together
✅ The chance for children to stay active, make new friends, and try new things
Whether you come to one session or all of them, we’d love to see you there!
We know that when children are home during the holidays, household costs — especially for food — increase significantly. To support families, we are fundraising to provide nutritious snacks and light meals at every session.
This ensures that children get the fuel they need to enjoy the activities, while easing some of the financial stress on parents.
Our amazing team of volunteers makes it all possible! Volunteers receive:
